Goals.

To help our children build healthy bodies and minds and to instill the desire to learn and achieve through tennis instruction and creative learning programs. Southern Children's Network, Inc. (SCN) motto is: “Empowering young minds through tennis.”

Who we are.

SCN is a not-for-profit organization whose mission is to bring quality tennis and educational support programs to children in the South Metro Atlanta area. All SCN programs are either free or offered at very low cost.

Where we are.

We offer programs at various schools and parks in the South Fulton/Metro-Atlanta area. SCN tennis classes, junior team leagues and after-school programs are held at Burdette, Creel, Trammell Crow and welcome All parks and at schools such as Seaborn Lee elementary schools.

HISTORY

SCN is a 501(c)(3) organization that was incorporated in 1997, but has been involved in the community since 1993. To date, our programs have reached more than 3,000 children in this area.

SCN is a member of the United States Tennis Association (USTA) and its affiliates. SCN is a USTA Community Tennis Association (CTA) and an athletic association with the Fulton County Department of Parks & Recreation.

SCN has worked with: The Georgia Tennis Association, Fulton Co. Dept. of Parks & Recreation; Greater Rising Star Baptist Church; Fulton Co. Board of Education; and the Fulton Co. Housing Authority.
